Armelle and Bernard invite you to share their passion for vintage wines of Burgundy but also for truffles of Burgundy. Groups until 50 people are accepted but regrettably, there is no access to the cellar for handicapped persons. Visits can be in French or in English.
It is in the atmosphere of the cellar that they will speak to you about the work of the vines and about the elaboration of wines. Then, after the visit of the cellar you will be received in the wines' tasting cellar where you will learn to know the wines of the domain. Of course, wines will be commented on by the Rion family.
Estimated time for the visit: 1h up to 1h30.
For 7 euros a head, you will sample at least 4 wines in the following products: white, rosé or red Burgundy, Chambolle Musigny "Les Echezeaux", Chambolle Musigny 1st cru "Les Gruenchers", Nuits Saint Georges "Les Lavières", Nuits Saint Georges 1st cru "Les Damodes", Nuits Saint Georges 1st cru "Les Murgers", Vosne Romanée, Vosne Romanée 1st Cru "Les Chaumes". Wines and vintages are generally selected by Armelle or Bernard Rion.
For 10 euros a head, you can sample in addition the famous "Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru". If you wish it, they can speak to you about their truffles plants, the gathering of truffles by their dogs, the gastronomy of the truffle and also about the agreements about dishes and wines.
In autumn, for 16 euros a head, and only for groups of more than 15 people, they suggest a visit of the truffles plants with the gathering of Burgundy truffles by dogs. This visit will be followed in the cellar by a tasting of 4 wines and of a product made with truffles. Estimated time for the visit: between 2h30 and 3h.
On the spot, you will be able to buy the wines in bottles, in the packaging you wish, but you will also b able to buy their famous Burgundy truffles. Payments in cash, checks or bank cards are accepted.
The Domain is located in Vosne Romanée, in the depth of the Coast of Nuits (17 km from Dijon and 18 km from Beaune). In leaving the motorway in Nuits Saint Georges (exit n° 1) on A31, you will have to take the direction of Dijon by the main road (National Road 74). In arriving in Vosne Romanée, you will find the Domain on your right (3rd property on the right). It is easy for the buses to park right in front of the Domain.
We remind you that the most pleasant moment for tasting is from 10 a.m. or after 15 p.m.
We recommend you, just opposite the Domain, "La Toute Petite Auberge" (Tel. 03 80 61 02 03), which serves an excellent cooking and can receive groups of 50 people and also, in Vosne Romanée, the Richebourg *** Hotel (Tel. 03 80 61 59 59) which within a very pleasant place will receive your groups.
